Deathmatch (free for all)
The classic mode of play we all know and love. Simply put, players run around and attempt to kill (frag) each other.
When a player dies, he respawns, and resumes trying to frag other players. Generally, a fraglimit is set, and when
a player reaches that amount of frags, the level ends.

Deathmatch (teamplay)
Simple variant on the free for all (FFA) deathmatch, in which everyone splits
up into two teams (red and blue). Instead of trying to frag anyone, players try
only to frag members of the opposite team. Each time that happens, a frag gets
added to the individual's frag total, as well as the team total. If a fraglimit
is set, the level will end when a specific team reaches the fraglimit, as
opposed to an individual player reaching the fraglimit.

Duel
One-on-one deathmatch, in which two players battle, with everyone else in the
game spectating! The two players are given a small warmup period, and once that
time expires... FIGHT!

Instagib
This beloved Q3A mod finally makes its way into Doom. Everyone starts with a
railgun, without anything else spawning on the level. Of course, in this mode, the
railgun is so powerful, it will kill you in one hit! Not only that, but it will do
so much damage when it hits you, will you gib instantly! (thus the name, "instagib")
Quick reflexes and high accuracy are essential for winning in this fast-paced mode!

Terminator
It's "smear the queer" for Doom! At the start of the level, a terminator ball is
spawned at a random deathmatch start. When players pick up this ball, they receive
200% health and 200% armor (like a megasphere), and then do permanent QUAD DAMAGE!
The player with the terminator ball is highly noticable, with the terminator ball
icon appearing above his head, and his name being marked red on the scoreboard.
Once the terminator is killed, he drops the ball, and then whoever picks it up next,
becomes the terminator. ... oh, and did I mention that players receive 10 frags for
killing the terminator?

Oldschool
A version of deathmatch that's more true to the original doom2.exe style of deathmatch
than any other mode! No jumping, freelook, alpha, bots, scoreboard, skins, player
names... anything! Just good ol' classic DM!

Teamgame (skull tag)
Ah, the teamgame mode. This is the mode that all team based play (with the exception
of teamplay deathmatch) is based on. In this mode, players split into two teams, and
try to score points. In this mode, generally a pointlimit is set, and the level ends
when a particular team reaches the pointlimit. The way points are scored varies from
level to level (ex. someone can make a UT style Dominaton map, and players can occupy
posts to score points).

CTF
The mode we all know and love. CTF is a variant of the teamgame mode, in which players
on one team attempt to steal the flag of the opposing team, and return it to their base.
^TOP^
Single Flag CTF
A variant of CTF, where players try to take the white flag (generally in the middle of
the level) into the enemies' base, and "place" it on the enemies' flag.

Invasion
A cooperative game mode in which players defeat monsters spawning in waves. Each wave
becomes harder as harder and more monsters are spawned. But as it gets harder, more
weapons and ammunition are spawned with the monsters.

Possession
Possession is a point-based deathmatch game; the objective is to hold (possess) the hellstone,
which is randomly spawned at a Deathmatch start. When a player picks it up, the other players
are notified and a countdown starts. If the player is killed before the countdown ends, he
drops the hellstone and another player can pick it up, but if he can survive he scores!
Then everything is respawned. As a bonus to make the game more dramatic, the player
possessing the hellstone cannot use any weapons. This game mode is also available for team play.

Survival
Much like Vanilla cooperative mode, you must finish the level without dying. You are
unable to respawn until all or any other players that are with you, die as well, or
finish the map without dying.
^TOP^
Last Man Standing
A deathmatch game mode where you must be the last player standing. In other words, if you die,
you lose that match. Be the last one alive and you'll have your victory. Much like survival,
but instead of fragging monsters, you fragging other players. This game mode is also available
for team play.
