As the saying goes, "All good things must come to an end!" Sadly, this time has come for Skulltag. For reasons I won't get in to (unless necessary), the staff has decided to pack up and leave, and without anyone left to run this dog and pony show, it is effectively dead.
As Skulltag's creator, I'd like to thank you all for being part of this wild ride! Whether you were part of Skulltag when it started as a Deathtag-type PWAD on the Battleground BBS back in the mid-90's, or if you just got into it recently, I know a lot of fun was had by many, many people. It's gone through many changes and enhancements over the years, and it's a shame that is has to come to an end. Sadly, it must.
I hope you've all had 1/10th as much fun playing Skulltag as I've had making it for you. Of course, I'm not the only one who's helped make Skulltag for you - huge thanks to WastedYouth, Agent Spork, and all of the other contributors to Skulltag over the years! You guys helped Skulltag become more than just a port! Also, big thanks to Rivecoder for taking over after I stepped down. You provided the vision and leadership for this project that few could. Thank you!
It's been a blast guys. I promise that all future projects of mine will keep the same Skulltag spirit. If you happen to care about any of those future projects, then be sure to keep in touch!
